My wife had Blue Cross & Blue shield insurance and they really screwed us around. I got approved for disability. By the time I got approved I was eligible for Medicare. This all happened towards the end of the year like end of October. My wife's open enrollment was going on. So we call Blue Cross Blue shield and ask them do I have to take Medicare. 0 stars for claims – They denied a service that had already been pre‑approved, so after surgery I ended up stuck with all the bills and months of back‑and‑forth with constant claim submissions. I pulled all my historical medical records to provide additional support, which required working with 8–10 different providers and obtaining prior films to prove without a doubt that the condition was not genetic. Every phone calls routes you into a never ending AI answer and response that never gets you to a person. When I finally spoke with a person I got routed to three people who asked me the same questions and told me they would transfer me to the correct department and never did. My insurance requires me to assign a Primary Care Provider, but every PCP I've picked on the app is either not taking new clients, has permanently closed their practice, no longer takes this insurance, or no longer works at the practice listed under the... read more

Literally the worst insurance ever. I'm a Behavioral Health Provider and this company will do whatever it takes to make access to care difficult. They deserve negative stars but that wasn't an option. The automated system tells me to check Availity (the system BCBS uses for claims) but often times, the information Availity tells me vs what member services tells my clients doesn't match.
