We travel all the way from Torrington to eat there. The coconut custard pie taste just like my grandfathers! I love it!!!
Every time I drive down RT 84 I look forward to going to the Blue Colony! Great Food, cozy atmosphere, best house dressing in New England, best pastry!!! Don’t forget to take a challah bread home!
5 Stars It’s a great place .... great daily specials including a cup of soup and your drink, great atmosphere, wonderful staff. Will be going back very soon !
We absolutely recommend and we love this diner, we drive here from Ansonia atleast once a week, there food is always awesome no matter what you get, I happen to love there stuffed peppers special. the desserts are out of this world too. I might add my grandfather was a state trooper who retired to Vermont, this was his favorite place to go and always went when he came to visit. he is gone now but our family has made it the go too diner. We call it Poppys diner.
Awesome diner and food. Most of the staff is great and friendly! I'm visit often with my family. However this morning, I was quite shocked! There was an older, female Caucasian waitress yelling at a Hispanic waiter. I was sitting in the back, near the bathroom. I don't know how it started but she shouted out him and said, "That is why I'm voting for Trump, to get rid of you illegals!" The manager had to have heard her! She was SO loud!
