I was ready for a change from a stud to a hoop in my nostril. I had several bad experiences with the West Valley location. I decided I'd take the trip out to see Derek at Blue Boutique in Sugarhouse. Derek is the best , before I have gone to other piercers and none of them are like Derek, he was very professional and sanitary about everything he walked me through step by step on what he was going to do. I was nervous but he talked to me the whole time and pierced me so fast. He cares about his customers and i love that about him.. From 1-10 I give him 100 . I highly recommend him to anybody
I've been to most all the reputable piercing shops. And I can say from experience Derek has been the most friendly and overall super fantastic person I've had the pleasure to pierce me. Derek was so professional from the moment I met him to pierce my naval for me. He walked me threw what he was going to do, showed me how he was sterilizating everything and after it was done, he told me how to properly care for my piercing. He gave me all his contact info if I had any problems or questions for him and also set up a follow up to check on my piercing and make sure everything was going smooth and I was pleased with the results. Derek is bad ass! He is funny, good conversator and makes things really easy and comfortable! Let's face it some of the areas we choose to pierce can be vunerable and uncomfortable but Derek makes it really laid back. He's also amazing at following up and making sure you're healing well. Go visit him you won't be sorry! I won't go anywhere else for my future piercings!
I travelled all the way from Northern California to get my nipples pierced by Derek for my birthday. I've been going to him for all my piercings for the past 4 years. I could probably find another piercer closer to home, but I don't think they could match the quality of service or attentiveness of Derek. Okay lovers. Listen up. I have had several different piercings from several different places and I wish I could turn back time and get them all from Derek. He was so chill and down to earth. I was born and raised in Utah, and had moved to Houston Texas two years ago. I traveled all the way to Utah just to get a piercing from Derek. I had been following his instagram/Facebook for about a year. I fell in love with his work and the jewelry he carried. He is absolutely amazing, I brought my mom in as well.
