Blue bottle itself is great, seating is extremely limited. Since they share their space with hanahaus, a coworking space, there’s nowhere to sit. No clear signs either. Don’t think of this location as a standalone blue bottle, it’s operated more like a grab and go Starbucks.
The coffee itself is decent - solid specialty brew, nothing to complain about there. The location is nice too, right by the water with a pleasant vibe in Lido Village. However, the experience was quite frustrating. You can’t simply buy a coffee and sit down to enjoy it. Even when the place was almost empty, staff (rather unfriendly women) immediately approached and insisted I register in their app and pay extra just to sit. A standard Blue Bottle outpost — nothing special. The black filter coffee is frankly poor; I found myself wanting to add milk or syrup just to get through it. Not my kind of place, sorry about that
Always has been great coffee. One thing I really is when a coffee shops has a cooler right in front with various miscellaneous drinks. Why not just coffee and pastries (that are up close and inviting)? Selling additional miscellaneous last minute/for any other purpose reminds me of a CVS regardless of whether or not the products are more unique. They're still irrelevant to the essence of coffee culture, and they're always overpriced.
