Great spot for dinner. Service was prompt and attentive. Sushi seemed very fresh considering we’re in Arkansas. Portion size for the rolls was generous, appetizers were tasty, and the sake was cold. Standouts were the crispy rice with tuna, the shishedo peppers, and the roll with the yellowtail on top!
Came to BLU Sushi in downtown Rogers with high hopes. Heard great things about it. Being from the Northeast, we were very lucky and blessed to have great sushi, fresh fish quite often. After moving to Northwest Arkansas, it has been more challenging to find even a subpar quality sushi place. Started out by ordering six oysters. The oysters were warm. Wanted to do takeout at around 8:10 cause it’s getting near close, first time ever ordering. Didn’t get to try the food because kitchen is closed a full hour before closing time. If you’re gonna close your kitchen earlier than the industry standard of 30 minutes before close, update your google hours or put notice out. She took her time noticing me at the stand but the Hostess was as nice as she could be but I might not be back. I don't think this was the first night after reopening; But I'm sure this was the Reopening week. I say the above to give them a reason for the Very Bad review I'm about to write. Friday 11 September 2026 I placed a reservation for 18:30 (6:30PM). We arrived about 10min early and though there were several outdoor tables open we were told seating was not available until our reservation time. Actually we were not seated until 18:50.
