Amazing blowouts and good service – Although the prices have gone up so has the service. Amazing stylists and an overall great vibe. I have been going for years and have nothing but good things to say. I always leave feeling transformed and get many compliments on my hair. For the price and service it is one of the best deals in town. Heard they opened uptown and cant wait to check it out.

Blow 14th Street: Higher prices, Lower Quality, Wider Range of Services – I live in the neighborhood and have been going to Blow for basic blowouts since they opened a couple of years ago. The original pricing was quite reasonable ($30) , and then they expanded their services from blowouts only to manicures, waxing, color/cuts, etc. The price then went up to $40, a little higher but still a bargain considering the quality and convenient location. Then about a year ago, I stopped going when an appointment I had ... read more

go NOW. – I'm not the type who usually goes anywhere but my regular hairdresser for services, but when I needed a quick blowout and found myself in the neighborhood, I decided to try this place. I am SO GLAD I did. Not only did they fit me right in, but I got a blowout that was just as great as my regular guy at half the price. And everyone else there had a huge smile on her face. One of the manicurists was free to fix some chipped polish, and I even ended up buying some hair clips in the boutique. Every woman I saw there wa... read more

Overpriced, Low Quality, Neighborhood Salon Feel – After reading reviews and visiting their website, I expected this place to be highly polished and professional. Instead I found it to be a local neighborhood storefront with a pared-down "beauty parlor" feel. When you consider the price (I paid $40 since I was able to take advantage of the mid-day special) and the fact that all the stylists do is style hair - you would expect experts who can analyze hair type and face shape in order to yield the most flattering results. Inst... read more

Awesome, reliable blowouts – I have been a loyal customer of this salon since its opening, and I have had a few different stylists. I have to say my favorites are Blanca and Serita. They are both so nice and my hair never looks better. If I get it done anywhere else, my hair doesn't feel as nice, shiny and healthy as it does here. And they are so quick! (take it from me, i have been getting my hair done 2 to 3 times a month for years.) The only drawback is that they recently raised their prices from $35 to $40 and up. I stil... read more

Great Blowout with Blanca - I will definetely be returning! – I had my hair blown out by Blanca - she was great! Not a lot of conversation, but she really took the time (over 45 min) to make sure my hair was exactly the way I wanted it. The blowout she gave me ended up lasting 2 days (until I washed my hair) and it was perfect! There were some other clients with different stylists who came and went while I was there, so I know that Blanca really took more time than some others. The shampoo was OK, not great, but the blowout ... read more

Worst blowdry I've ever had – I went for a blowdry at XOBlow and it was the worst I've ever had. The stylists name was Giselle. She did not listen or follow any of my instructions. She got the parting on the wrong side and despite my request of having my hair out of my eyes that's exactly where she put it. She was nice enough for conversation but as skill this was worse than what I did at home when I let it dry on its own. All of this for $40 plus tax/ tip. I suggest if you go to this salon do not go to Giselle. Or just do y... read more
