Today I visited this restaurant for the 4th time. Prior to today I have had good experiences BUT I can’t say the same for this trip. My friends and I went for the hamburger steak lunch special. It comes with rice and mixed veggies. We inquired about substitutes for the rice and veggies and were told this isn’t an option because it is a “blue plate special” but yet all of your sides are listed together and the menu states “additional sides are $2 more” and nothing about no substitutes allowed. Desiree is a spectacular waitress. Food is very good. The owners are excellent hosts and create a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Courtney is an owner that makes you feel special.

Service was great. Food was very disappointing. Have lived here all my life and heard great things about this place.First trip here a week ago. Mother in law got the crab cakes and sent them back. Thought she was being picky. I ordered the seafood platter 3 and was not impressed. Tried to eat the crab cakes that came with my order even after hearing the complaints. Heard the waitress say that it was fresh crab and alot of people do not not like it? I did not like the taste but hated the shell in the first three bites more.
Understaffed for the event of the evening (Christmas boat parade). Service was good , but restaurant out of oysters, we ordered roast beef and sat for 40 minutes before they told us roast beef was bad. To be fair, they did comp our appetizer.
Very good seafood pasta and fried crab claws.
