My biggest regret about my experience with Dr. Chan is that I didn’t find her sooner. We found her about 4 weeks postpartum after going to another pediatrician and having a frustrating experience. We completed the remainder of our “4th trimester” with Dr. Chan’s 4th trimester offering and it was a god send. As a first time mom she calmed any anxiety I had over vaccines and general concerns. We can’t recommend Dr. Chan-Ramirez highly enough. Our daughter had a tongue-tie and feeding issues, and the first lactation consultant we saw pushed us toward a dentist for an aggressive tongue-tie and cheek release. It felt like too much for our baby, and we weren’t comfortable with it. Dr. Chan was the opposite of that experience. We are so thankful that we were referred to Dr. Chan for a second opinion after receiving conflicting information from multiple providers as to what we should do for our baby despite undergoing an anterior tongue tie release and OT without further improvement in feeding. Thanks to Dr. Chan’s assessment and treatment plan, our baby’s feeding issues have resolved. We wish we had gone to her from the beginning but are grateful we went to her when we did! Dr. Shirley Chan-Ramirez was absolutely wonderful. I reached out for an acute breastfeeding issue and she was able to promptly work me into her schedule, even on a holiday. In addition to the convenience of having our pediatrician & lactation consultant come to our home, I really appreciated Dr. Chan’s compassionate care.
