For the most part this rehab center is great. I had great nurses and therapists. The food was great. My doctor was a complete jerk, which had made my overall experience very unfortunate. Instead of working with me, he worked against me and still is even after my release by refusing to fill out my disability paperwork. Now I can’t get paid for the time I was off work in the rehab center but the rehab center sure got paid for my care.
I have been a patient here for the past seven days recovering from the effects of a seizure. I can honestly say that it was the best care I have ever received in my life. IN MY LIFE. Based on blood work, vitals, your own input, and staff observations they can change medication orders on the turn of a dime. While the doctor(s) might not be on site 24 hours/day, the on site care staff are and can get in touch with one of the docs 24/7 to consult and change orders if needed. After falling and breaking seven ribs, puncturing a lung, and injuring my right shoulder, I was admitted to Bloomington Regional Rehabilitation Hospital. When I arrived, I couldn’t do anything but lie still because of the pain. Within about 24 hours, the staff had my pain under control, and I began rehabilitation.
