Not worth it. I thought it would be a good try, since I was visiting the city and it looked clean, decent, and something like a good place. Here's my experience: when I went in, I didn't receive so much as a smile (although maybe it's just me who expects warm welcomes when customers enter?) Horrible! worst ever experience - DON'T GO !!! – I get weekly pedi's - usually near my home downtown. I had time on my hands and decided to give blooming nails a try b/c its close to work. The staff was rude. they asked for extra for a massage, once i said no.. they did not even give me a little massage.. slapped on the nail polish and threw me in the chair to let them dry. I hate the staff..crappy pedicure... crappy everything over prices like there is no tomorrow... i go to a place that charges 25 and i get a nice massage ... read more
DO NOT GO HERE – I went here against my better judgement as it's close to where I live and had an event this evening. I chose to only get a polish change as everytime I go there they cut either my finger or toe by cutting my cuticals wrong. The girl who did the repolish left cotton on my nails and now they are bubbly and aweful looking. Super Rude Service...Avoid this Place! – I get my nails done once a week in NYC and generally go to a place in my neighborhood...but was at a work meeting that finished early so I went to this place. They didn't do a good job AND there was no signage about a credit card minimum. They made me purchase another manicure (for another time, but I am NEVER going to go back!) because I was $5 short of the minimum. The woman was super rude and made me feel really uncomfortable. Don't spend your money here!
Do not go to Blooming Nails on Lex. – After checking the user reviews for alot of nail salons yesterday, I had to go to one that I did NOT check out. First, they put me at a nail station right next to their 'front desk' so all the workers kept crowding next to me. Then she asks me to pay, I said ok, she says $18. I said 'you told me the french manicure was $17" she says "its $1 for tax" which sounds fishy. So i hand her my credit card so she can finish and then she tells me they have a $20 minimum (which i did not see posted... read more
Worst Nail Place ever visited!! – Dont go to this nail place!!! They try to scam you out of paying more for a "spa" pedicure evern if you DONT ask for it! I specifically said I do NOT want a spa Pedicure that costs $60 and they gave it to me anyways and were about to call the police on me if i didnt pay the full amount. Its not my fault the women working there cant speak English but they were the rudest people I have ever met. Do not go the Blooming Nail-- Strong recommended! – Do not go to blooming Nail March 07, 2007 This morning I woke up around 7::30am... My intuition told me I better check my nail again to see do I need go to another nail salon to do the polish or not? Yet, I just did my manicure last night in the Blooming Nail at Lexington Ave! nice, clean and fast – This place is very clean and the staff is very helpful. The best part of it is that they are very fast and they do take care of you very nicely. Although some of the girls working there have poor english you can still communicate. I go there for brazilian wax with Tina and she is the best, I had very bad experiences in the past but I keep visiting her for my wax although I actually live in Boston. All the manicurists have almost the same skills and dont speak much which is good. The place has a great l... read more
