I had both benefits and coverage with FNIHB and they still gave me a difficult time and long wait period, by the time they approved my daughter's scan my benefits expired. We spent over a year waiting, I would go somewhere that is more willing to follow-up, the reception were rude to me when I inquired. We ended up switching dental providers as the Dentist gave my daughter dental anxiety. If you're First Nations find another dental/ortho provider to work with.
I have already referred friends with small children. When we went in, Yzzabella (7 yrs) had to have two teeth extracted, unfortunately. Everyone from all the support staff to the excellent dentists and the orthodontist we met were fantastic! They made Bella feel safe, supported, and most of all, not afraid. They treated us both supremely, and I have never had a better experience at a dental clinic. Two kids with new smiles of perfectly aligned teeth is only one reason for a 5 star review. Helpful staff and amazing orthodontists just make it that much better.
If you don’t want to have to spend another 9800 dollars to have your child’s teeth corrected after 3 years of going through ortho I would stay clear. Their AI generated app to take care of your child’s teeth is the first issue. They use this system to get more patients through the door literally no office visits! I was informed my child was missing one of her main teeth at the start. Her regular Dentist for cleanings just informed me she’s actually missing 4 that they pulled out! Dr. Crichton and her team are absolutely top-notch! They offer both children’s dentistry and orthodontic treatment, with a variety of options including braces and Invisalign. But what truly makes this office special is their focus on airway health—so patients don’t just get a great smile, they also experience better nasal breathing and overall improved health.
