I have been a regular donor here for some time, never encountering issues—until today. With two different staff members handling the process, I was inexplicably denied the ability to donate simply because they failed to locate my vein on the first attempt. I was then informed -- rather than by a medical professional, someone who appeared to be legal counsel — that it was "too expensive" to try again, as my perfectly healthy blood type was deemed "not valuable enough" to warrant a second attempt. I like going here to donate blood. I tried donating, platelets and plasma, but the process made me feel somewhat ill. I will be donating whole blood from now on!

They are very good at their jobs, making the entire process very efficient and comfortable for the donors. I was formerly restricted from giving blood for roughly around 20 years bcuz of my service in the Army in Germany in the early 80s (possibility of Mad Cow Disease). About 2 months ago they finally removed that restriction and I was able to donate to save lives again. I had never donated platelets before, but now I've done it twice in the past month and I plan to continue to do it every 2 weeks as long as I can. Yesterda... read more
