I have had a positive experience donating at this center. April is so friendly and welcoming when you walk in. Kate is absolutely wonderful. She has been so understanding and encouraging of my nervousness of donating platelets after I had a rough first donation when I tried to donate platelets at another center so am a little nervous to repeat that when I go back. Staff is friendly, but I was told I wasn't eligible to donate due to a doctor prescribed medication I take. I mentioned I had already looked into the issue and advised that it wasn't a reason to deny donation, nor was the medication on their non-donation list I was given to read over. I was advised to call a number for an explanation after the fact, and they confirmed I was indeed eligible and shouldn't have been turned away. I feel like it was a large waste of time trying to be helpful.
