We recently got married at Blockhouse and it was incredible! We really didn't spend a ton on extra decor because the space is so beautiful - the added on plant wall really added a touch you can't get anywhere else. The staff is kind and helpful, and the whole day ran so smoothly! (Also, as a side note, it was about 85 and sunny on our day and it wasn't super hot in the venue, so don't worry about July dates, a few fans were perfect!)
I got the pleasure of working with the Blockhouse team while managing/coordinating a wedding this past week. They are phenomenal to work with. They’re professional, knowledgeable, and the venue itself is tough to beat for an intimate, serene, garden space in Portland. I already can’t wait for our next wedding together!
Venue staff were rude, petty and outright disrespectful. I travelled from Europe with my wife and one-year-old son to attend my sister’s wedding and reconnect with family for the first time in more than 10 years. From the moment the event began, staff harangued us with prohibitions and criticisms about where we were allowed to sit, stand or converse. Had our wedding at the venue and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of it. It had everything we could ask for and we will never forget this special week celebrating it with my family and friends.
