We went to Blockbuster Cafe after having great experience with the food at an even, but not even close to it at the restaurant, which was a huge disappointment. Red karam onion dosa was not spicy, but more on the sour side. We expected it to be more on the spicy side as it's a Raayala seema dosa. The taste was good though. Quality and quantity is below than in any local restaurant in India. Combo upma box size is the smallest and that is also not full. “Very cheap” not reasonable at all. Price is almost $13… I don’t think I will go or recommend anyone to go there. Indian or South Indian restaurants are much better in Swanee both quality and quantity wise. They need to do better.
It’s like, once Vidya Balan said Entertainment Entertainment Entertainment ….here it is Pricey Pricey Pricey, BLOCKBUSTER PRICEY!! Tried Idly, Pachi karam dosa, kothu paratha, Apricot Delight, mysore Bonda. Taste wise good, cannot be more better for tiffins. Chutneys were good. Quantity wise bad, very bad when compared to the costs. Service wise bad, cuz you’ve to decide and order before seated. They wouldn’t service raita or gravy for kothu paratha. Service was quick. The food was good. We went because I wanted to try dosa. It was good, I enjoyed the fillings, but my favorite thing was the cream puff. My partner got the coffee and chai and loved it and said they would go back just for that.
Cake was soft and delicious. I tried an eggless cake for the very first time, and it tasted really good. Their customized cakes are impressive, and they did a great job with them.
