Block has always been a regular for me for all special occasions and holidays but sadly that has changed. I am not sure if the chef has changed but the menu is not 5-star like it used to be. Entree options lack variety. Flavor was bland. The best part of our meal was the baked ricotta appetizer. My partner and I both didn’t finish our entrees due to lack of flavor and overall dryness. My wife and I have eaten here a few times before and have liked the food enough to come back. But tonight, both our meals were unfortunately not great, not even good. Honestly my real complaint is the cost, for how much we paid, and from good past experiences, I expected more. Our appetizer was the first disappointment. We got the baked ricotta. I've been here a handful of times and I can say that they are consistently fresh and delicious. There was that one menu a couple years ago that wasn't my cup of tea but the food was still very fresh. Great for a date night. Will absolutely be going back
Block is such a special place I almost didn’t want to give it a good so nobody would come here. Food is probably the best food you’ll ever have 100 stars
