They allow their manager and assistant manager at the Equitable Building to get away with violating Iowa landlord tenant laws especially the 24 hour notice law which states that a 24 hour must be dated, written, and signed by the manager. They just allow them to post a notice by the elevators and that's it. FORGET ABOUT YOUR DEPOSIT AND SAVE ABOUT $1000 for extra charges when you end your lease. Ended our lease in the month of April. When we received our apartment that was supposedly move in ready, there were signs of pests (roaches), appliances were dirty and some insects were painted on to the wall. They did assist with the pest issue, but it was not supposed to be an issue to begin with since as I mentioned before, they promote move-in ready apartments. Similar issue as another guy: Lived at WaterCrest 2+ years, always paid rent on time, but then I moved out and they immediately contacted a debt collections agency. I can't pay through the portal ("Current Balance: $0.00"). Why behave this way? Why tell me I have 30 days to pay a charge I just learned about, and then send my info to a debt collector?
