I would give negative starts if I could. I’ve been working with HR Advisors in Hoffman for nearly two years regarding an issue with my 2022 taxes. I initially received a bill from the IRS and turned to them for help, trusting their advertised expertise in tax resolution. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. Instead of resolving the issue, they repeatedly assured me everything was fine and advised me not to pay the IRS. As a result, the amount owed continued to grow with interest and penalties. Tried to submit financials via email or electronic. Told I had to visit, which I did. Then I scheduled an appointment but was told they couldn't do it. They delayed and delayed until I had to file an extension. I kept following up with them and called the front desk 12 times, never to be called back. October 15th came and went without resolution. Went elsewhere. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere from the beginning.
I cannot recommend this office to anybody who expects prompt, professional tax preparation, returned phone calls, or a productive use of the client's time. I have attempted to use the "chain of command" to resolve my concerns, but NOBODY in the Block Advisor's office cares enough to take seriously any complaints. During tax season, I made an appointment and showed up with my materials for a completed tax return on that day.
