Glenn and Kelly have the gift of hospitality that shines through in all that they do, from the nighttime snack to the awesome breakfast and all the recommendations they patiently convey of things to do around the beautiful community of Jacksonville, Illinois. For us it was just a stop on the way during a long driving trip, and was needed uplift / boost for the next leg of our journey. We lived the big old house that is kept up very nice. Very comfortable and hope to go back Service is the best and the yard and garden in back light with soft lights at night is beautiful. 😍
Blessings on State is Topnotch bread & breakfast. Glenn is an outstanding host & served breakfasts that were not only delicious, everything was served on fine china. He made us feel welcomed, and even served cookies & milk before bed. The home is a beautiful old mansion with period furnishings but not fussy. The backyard has a lovely gazebo amidst the plants and flowers.
AMAZING PLACE! My husband surprised me with an overnight stay here for our 33rd anniversary. Everything about this place is AMAZING. Glenn and Kelley were the best hosts. Glenn greeted us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the home and then showed us to our room. The bed was so comfortable and we had everything we needed. Everything a B&B should be. Beautiful, grand home, quaint neighborhood reminiscent of Meet Me in St Louis. Welcoming host, delicious breakfast. So thankful to find this place and will definitely come again.
