Catching babies since 1999. We specialize in home birth, and water birth and have delivered over 500 babies. Laboring at home with a compassionate midwife monitoring mom and baby allows for the mother to follow her inner wisdom as her body naturally guides the baby down. Being in control of who enters the labor room also keeps mom free of tension, which often results in shorter labors. In addition to the privacy and comfort of giving birth at home, the seamless transition from birth tub to freshly-made bed allows for comfortable family cuddle time and bonding in the first precious hours. With every medical intervention comes a risk. When birthing at home, a family is free from many routine p

When it comes to midwifery care and home birth, there's just no better than Sue Gill. My husband and I had planned on interviewing many different midwives for our first baby to try to find the right fit. Sue was the first we met with and when we walked out we both agreed we didn't need to meet anyone else!
She is so incredibly knowledgeable and wise, with tons of experience under her belt (which explains why she's got a constant handful of midwives-in-training on her team). S...

If you're going to have a home birth don't you want it to be as safe and painless as possible? - Sues experience is unmatched. She's the one training other midwives. - She prepares your body for birth thru diet, supplements, exercises, stretches, etc. This means that when it comes time to give birth your muscles are strong, your cervix is ripened, your baby is in optimal position. All things that DRASTICALLY REDUCE surprises and complications. - The level of care from start to finish is unreal. One hour office visits, checking in and instantly available via phone call text and email, visiting you in your home frequently after birth to make sure that you and baby are doing well, continuing to...  more>>

My husband really wants to move out of state. I told him we can't until we are done having babies because I want Sue there for all my babies. That is how much I love her. I am a small person and I grew a big baby but Sue never lead me to worry about his size even when my family poured doubt in my ear. She trusted the process and the woman's body and her calmness and experience were a great support through it all! Plus her postpartum care was amazing too!

I found Sue and Blessed Beginnings Midwifery while searching for a VBAC provider for my second birth, back in 2006. As of summer 2013 she has helped me birth three of my four children! Sue is an amazing midwife. She is kind, laid back, knowledgeable, experienced, calm, and gentle. She takes plenty of time to get to know you and care for you in your specific situation, every time. Appointments last an HOUR, not the hurried five minutes of your typical OB office visit. I always look forward to my appointments with Sue because she feels like a friend and I can talk to her about anything. Sue is very relaxed at your home during a birthing time. She stays in the background and lets you do your th...  more>>

I was blessed to have Sue as my midwife for two of my home births. She was amazing! I loved everything about my prenatal, birth and postnatal care! She was so great at informing and teaching me how to properly care for and nourish myself and my growing baby. I felt valued and she made my needs a high priority. Any concerns that arose were handled peacefully and she gave me different options to resolve them. I feel like she gave me the tools I needed to have a safe and beautiful delivery, but also a healthy start for my newborn. I would recommend her to anyone considering seeing a midwife! She rocks!

My family was brilliantly blessed to have Sue as our Midwife. Her knowledge, guidance, and empowerment allowed for a safe space to birth our baby, with trust. Even Four and a half years later her smile and warmth bring back many cherished moments. My eldest daughter, loved being a mini-Midwife. My husband lwas honored to catch and hold our baby for her first touch of Baba love. And me, I smile knowing I have joined my maternal anscestors in the beauty of birthing my baby girl, Cleo, as intended-gently and peacefully at home.
