I go to Blank Street everyday. Allowing dogs on the couch and into people’s personal space while they’re trying to work is gross.
I came to Blank Street craving a blondie matcha. I asked the two baristas at the register if it’s possible to add extra cookie butter to my matcha. (Simple request no?) I mentioned that I have no problem with paying an additional fee. Their demeanor was cold and dry. The baristas told me that it wasn’t possible and the “most they could do” was add extra syrup pumps. The coffee is alright. Blank Street may look like 3rd wave, but the espresso is burnt. And it comes out of an automated machine. I think people mostly go there for their matcha anyway, not their espresso. But I would still hope for more. Side note: every pastry looked delicious.
