(Edited 1/1/2018) Blanchet is a petri dish of homophobia, sexism, and white priveledge. The education is slightly above average, but the environment is toxic. My sophomore history teacher, Mr. Roberts, once stood in front of the class and proclaimed that women should not allowed to be presidents because of “hormones”. To my horror, most of the students nodded their heads in agreement. If that doesn’t bother you, then send your child here! They will fit right in.
Our son will have completed Sixth - Senior Years at BCS. We are very impressed with all aspects of the school. Academically they have brought him from being below grade level due to a young speech/phonics issue in grade school to above grade level through Mid High and High School. He instantly took to the environment as a Sixth Grader under Mrs. Ostby's care and has had exponential growth ever since. I highly recommend this school to everyone I meet.
