Dr. Orr not so great, LOVE Drs Ritz and Savage When taking any of my three children to Blanchard Valley Pediatrics I ask for Dr. Ritz or Dr. Savage. I have only ever had bad experiences with Dr. Orr. I love Dr. Beck but have found that Dr. Ritz and Savage are incredible when it comes to working with the child and the parents. Dr. Orr ordered many unnecessary tests for my oldest when she was only a few months old. Highly Recommend Dr. Orr!!!!!!!!!!!************!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have found Dr. Orr to be an excellent pediatrician for my adolescent son with ADHD. She seeks to understand the underlying problems and combine that with medication for the optimal quality of life for the patient. She is concerned with the patient and a long-term solution rather than a quick drug fix. I highly recommend her for chronic problems. I also like Dr Savage/Ritz I have also had issues with Dr. Orr. She terrified my toddler son. Dr's Savage & Ritz are much gentler, and still get the job done! I also am very happy with the understaning staff at the front desk. There was a time when my child was sick, and I did not have the money for my insurance co-pay. The staff billed me the balance, no questions asked, no problem! Thank you!
Dr. Ami Orr is Super Dr. Orr is the type of doctor that takes the time to listen and is interested in not only the child but also the mental health of the parents. She always asks how things are going in the household so she knows the type of enviroment that the child is living in.
Dr. Orr - not so super! I took my son recently to see Dr. Orr. What a disaster!!! It took us years to get my son to be comfortable on trips to the doctor. That was destroyed in less than 30 minutes. Not once did she make eye contact with my son. And when it came to getting shots, instead of trying to calm a crying child, all she did was to tell him to "oh, just tough it out".
