About this business

History and nature combine at this fantastic facility in the Spanish Fort to create a must visit attraction for all ages. The Blakeley State Park was at the center of major battles during the civil war and visitors today can learn about its history. Apart from this, the park has some great trails for nature enthusiasts to explore and admire the native wildlife. There are great facilities for camping as well.

The park is very big with lots of trails to explore. Beware of spiders they are the most prevalent thing you will see, sometimes blocking paths. But other than that it is perfect. We'll kept. Wide variety of wildlife and plants. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to be out in nature with plenty of shade and beautiful sights. Bathrooms and trash cans are plentiful. Also historical things to see. Have fun!!

I'm not sure about the whole park as I only stayed in a tent overnight. I was extremely exhausted by the time I got there so I literally set up my tent before 3:30 p.m. and was asleep by 4:00 p.m. I woke up at 3:00 a.m. and complete darkness, as I did not plan on staying at a tent site and the wooded area surrounding me was too wet due to rain so I couldn't even start a fire unless I purchase wood from the park. I want to say that the prices for staying at this park is absolutely ridiculous they charge $22 right at $22 after... read more

A great local park! A perfect place to get outside, explore nature, and enjoy the beautiful scenery. My wife and I have visited several times, and enjoy exploring different trails each time we go. Super dog friendly. Restrooms available, and are clean. The park does have a fee, and a year long pass is available. We go several times a year, and find the year long pass is super convenient.

We go here a lot. Lots of history, good trails for walking and biking. Some good camping options, and a beautiful dock out at the river. Beware of May though. Horse flies and Yellow flies will eat you up.

They were closed when we go there with our rv but the gate lady was kind and helped us find another rv campground.
