December 2015 while in Health South Rehab in Altoona they had Dr. Altmanshofer come in and cut my toenails. For this service he has billed me $261. That is $26.10 per toenail. The claim to my UHC was denied because they didn't file the billing in a timely manner. They now have sent the amount to collections. I had both UHC and Medicare at this time and I think they want me to pay this ridiculous amount rather than settle for the adjusted amount negotiated to the insurance companies.

I had an ingrown toenail ... OUCH! A friend recommended Dr. Bert. I called the office and they sched me for that day! Dr Bert is a peach! Very personable! He quickly assessed my problem and anesthetized my big toe. I hardly felt the needle! Shortly after, he came back and SKILLFULLY removed the ingrown part of the toenail. Zero pain!! I want to emphasize that Bert has great hand skills, very important when working around SORE TOES. No pain that night or at all!I A great guy! Highly recommended
