Trying to get to the hotel to check in, couldn’t access due to a parade I was unaware of. Tried calling several times, after the parade was over, found the front desk girl playing with some boys in the front yard. She told me to park in the front driveway because no one else was staying that night. I woke up at 6:40am in a panic, I was getting boxed in by another parade so I ran out and thankfully was able to move my car. We absolutely loved our stay here. They have done such a good job restoring the history of this building. We especially loved the unique cast iron stands for the bathroom sink and the billiard room. Staff were so kind and helpful. We will definitely be back!
Not a four star by any means: the staff were very pleasant and accommodating. But all downhill after that. The electronic door locks were problematic, at best. You were lucky if someone inside heard you trying to get in. Worst part was that staff knew there was a problem as we were told they knew about it, would order a new one tomorrow, etc. The steps leading to the porch door for entry were not sturdy and needed painting, probably a year or two ago. Terrible Experience – Could Not Even Access the Property My husband and I booked this stay to celebrate my birthday, but the experience was a complete disaster. When we arrived, we were unable to unlock the security lock and access the unit. We followed the information provided, but nothing worked.
