I would give 0 stars if I could. I went in for a cleaning and was told I needed a root canal. My tooth did not hurt at the time. I scheduled the root canal and afterwards it began to hurt terribly. He has an after hours phone number on his machine, but did not return our phone call for days. When we finally got a hold of him he said that we just had to give it time. Blackhurst Dental always does a fantastic job, no matter the tooth problem I have. Dr. Blackhurst is about the best dentist I’ve ever experienced - thorough , accurate, and always good conversations. The assistants are also top notch - patient, kind, and very well trained.

Dr. Blackhurst botched a root canal - did not clean out all the root and it ended up getting infected. When we tried to talk to him about getting medication and seen to correct the mistake he said that we had to wait. Would not offer pain medication or any other help. Just said that he knew what he was doing. We took her to another dentist who took care of the pain in one day by clearing out the rest of the root. Toothache was gone the same day.
