I transferred all my accounts to BHCCU after moving to Wisconsin. Everything has gone as smooth as possible. They also offer great rates compared to other credit unions in the area.
I’m shocked and appalled by the way I was treated at Blackhawk Credit Union. After a security breach months ago, I asked them to freeze my online banking. Since then, I couldn’t access my account and had no way of seeing that they were charging me a $5/month “dormancy fee” for my savings account—despite having well over $100,000 with them! I have been a member for 14 years. First account I started when I was 16. Throughout that time I have had minor issues (as is to be expected with all things). And any issues have been handled very quickly and every person I have ever dealt with has been kind, understanding, and professional. Oh boy get ready for this. TLDR don't bank here and try advia. My wife and I decided that it was time to switch from a bank to a credit union to pave the way to build a relationship with an institution so we can aquire loans (auto, home, etc.) I chose blackhawk because I've seen them nearby and I kinda had a feeling.
