I have been a member for 14 years. First account I started when I was 16. Throughout that time I have had minor issues (as is to be expected with all things). And any issues have been handled very quickly and every person I have ever dealt with has been kind, understanding, and professional. My wife and I decided that it was time to switch from a bank to a credit union to pave the way to build a relationship with an institution so we can aquire loans (auto, home, etc.) I chose blackhawk because I've seen them nearby and I kinda had a feeling. Recently separated veteran and returned to my home state. I was a prior member to joining the service and created an appointment to set up a checking and savings account, I did explain this to the teller. I then wanted to utilize the public notary service that they provided. They did not provide it to me on the basis I was not a member. US Bank provided me their notary service and even though I am not a member. I would recommend US Bank or some other bank that provides an intended public service willingly.
