I’ve been interested in visiting this establishment for the past decade as they have a decent reputation in the city and are in a cool neighbourhood. The stars aligned and my partner and I were able to make a reservation. The service was friendly, kind and welcoming, we may have had a server who was still learning but she was very polite and attentive. We hired Blackfriars to cater our wedding this past Saturday, and they surpassed our expectations in every way. Betty was very patient and thorough in our planning in the months and weeks leading up to the big day. Service the day of was exceptional and very well coordinated. Many guests commented on the attentiveness of the staff, and nearly everyone told us how delicious the food was. Just met long time friends at Blackfriars for our yearly get together.The food was amazing!Our server was extremely competent and played along with our gentle teasing of one of our long time friends.When the chef/owner heard the laughter he came out to greet us and to tell us how much he loved to hear people enjoying each other's company in his restaurant. He spoke to us several times about where he sources his fresh produce etc.What a great experience!We highly recommend Blackfriars!!
