RecommendedGreat food, great service, and a great atmosphere. Even during a pandemic! The wait was minimal for a Saturday evening (20 min)...a good experience all the way around!
Covid messes up everything. Wait is horrible, service good but slow. Food was average. We were disappointed.

I can not recommend a better restaurant at OBX than the Black Pelican. The wait staff is awesome, food is amazing, and we highly recommend their crab 🦀/shrimp 🍤 dip, pita slices, long Island 🏝 mixer, and the crab cakes! We have to admit for a 2 week vacation to OBX we ate here 4 times and never left unimpressed!!!! #slightlyaddictedtoblackpelican
good food and friendly staff
Sorry I couldn’t take a picture of the whole pizza but I ate 2 pieces while walking back to Kitty Hawk RV park. It must have literally come right out of the oven. This is the best pizza I have ever had in my life (I’m 52) and only ordered it because I needed a break from just seafood which I’ve been eating every night. Thanks!
We did have a long wait but that’s expected this time of year and we were a large party! Food was amazing and service was great! Our server was Steven with a V! 😀
Black Pelican always has the freshest seafood and the greatest pizza's. I have been a happy customer since the day they opened.
