The food is always good and fresh. Reasonably priced. The wait staff hustles!
We went based on the reviews of the oysters. So glad we did! Best oysters, cold beer and very sweet waiter - Chris! I sampled the gumbo, they have it seasoned right! Also ordered the Jalepeno Bombers - oh my goodness - shrimp, crab and a little bit of heaven! Amazing! Plus, 4 TV screens - perfect for watching the football game!
We loved this little dive! Boudain balls and crab cake were so yummy! The fried okra was the best we have ever had! They make their own salad dressings-much respect for that one! We will go back to Galveston/Surfside area again someday and we wont hesitate one ounce to go back. I am looking forward to trying the seviche and crab lump gumbo next time.

I was disappointed. I wanted to order from the dinner menu, perhaps salmon with a baked potato and side salad but it was 4:40 and dinner started at 5:00. So I asked if I could go ahead and start with my side salad. When it was 5:00 I was told my order could go in but the baked potato would not be ready for 20 minutes. I said no problem I will wait so I get the salmon with the potato. Then she said I get a second side salad with that dinner. I said this is my side salad. Was there July 26 and the food was delicious! Oyster Rockefeller so good!! Our table had fish tacos, grilled shrimp with fried okra, and shrimp poor boy. All was wonderful!! Thank you Amy!
Oyster on half shell were fresh ,seafood platter was large and delicious , gumbo had a deep dark roux. Would recommend for a good meal.
The shrimp poboys and fried okra are the best! I absolutely loved it!
Came here for our 1 year anniversary and had a dozen oysters on the half shell, a dozen rockerfeller and a dozen oyster diablos. They were all really big and delicious
Beware! The portions are huge!! We were there for vacation and The Black Pearl is by far the best place we ate. Oysters 3ways is a must try.
