Hotel is a little dated and tired. Bed wasn't the most comfortable and the room was just "so-so," but the lady that was running the place (assuming the owner) was absolutely wonderful. After a long day of travel, her warm welcome was definitely inviting and made us feel so comfortable. Terrible place. Advertised as pet friendly. We drove 300 miles and when we got there we were told we couldn't leave our pet in the room. Deadwood is a destination location for food and gambling etc. Can't leave a pet in a hot car. We couldn't stay there and couldn't find another room. Had to drive 300 miles back home. Ruined our anniversary weekend. The lady at the desk was very dishonest and hard to work with.
