DO NOT let Black Forest Bakery make your wedding cake- you will not get what you ask for trust me!! i had the simplest request, a chocolate ganache iced cake (which i paid the upgrade for) with sugared fruit on it. NEVER AGAIN, WORST BAKERY The cake designer assured us that she would be able to make our cake the way we wanted it. What we wanted was for the bottom and top tier's to resemble flames, and the middle tiers to resemble tribal tattoo design, she asked if we had stencils that we wanted to us. We certainly did, and my husband dropped them off a few months prior to the wedding. We called several times, and could not get the designer on the phone, but were assured she knew what we wanted. Awesome Mickey Mouse Cake! Black Forest Bakery is the best! I went to the bakery to order a birthday cake for my grandson's first birthday. My grandson loves Mickey Mouse and Tommy designed the most beautiful three layer Mickey Mouse cake complete with balloons! It was truly a work of art.
BEST BAKERY EVER!! – I have used Black Forest for many year and I am always amazed by their work. I had my wedding cake done by Tom in 2006 and I loved it so much that I didn't want to cut it. I have had my sister in laws briday shower cake done by them and she also had her wedding cake done there. When it came time for my baby shower, my mom knew not to get my cake anywhere else. Green mold cake Bought a cake for an office party. I was so embarrassed when the cake was cut. There was mold on the bottom of the cake. When I called to tell them. I was asked to bring the cake back. At that point I had already threw the cake in the garbage, where it should have been in the first place. I understand mistakes are made. YUMMMMM – Best scratch bakery ever!!!
Horrible Wanted a Blues Clues cake for my sons birthday in 2005. I DID NOT want a 3D cake, paid in full for what I wanted and got a call a few days prior that I needed to pay an additional $115 as the cake was 3D. No matter how many times I said that was not what I wanted or had ordered they had me...what was I to do? I have since learned how to make the cakes my kids wnat for their parties and will NEVER use this bakery again....Tom is nasty and looks unclean
