This place closed its doors permantly about six months ago....
At the Beaumont location. Never actually ate there because we had to wait to even be acknowledged at the door. They weren't busy. We were finally seated and sat there for 15 minutes without so much as a "we'll be right with you". I counted about 8 employees that walked by our table and never even looked at us or asked for our drink order. We finally got up and left. No one even tried to get us to stay or anything. The absolute poorest customer service I've had in a long time.
Awesome food and service! Love this place. One of my favorites!
THIS RESTAURANT DONT DESERVE ANY STARS !BLACK EYE PEA RESTAURANT OF BEAUMONT WAS WORSE THAN DISGUSTING, FOOD COLD, SERVICE POOR, MANAGER A SKINNY WIMP WITHOUT A CONSCIOUS. & B4 ANYONE IN A GOD AWFUL ORANGE DRESS WITH A TINTED ORANGE WIG TURN HER NOSE UP AT MY FAMILY. YOU BETTER TAKE A LONG LOOK AT YOUR OWN ATTIRE!!! I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND BLACKPEA TO ANYONE

Worst service at a restaurant in a long while. It is really bad when you have to stop the manager to place your drink order.
The hand made cheese sticks are awesome! The fish and chips dinner was very good as was the banana appeal BUT the BEST part was our wonderful server Christel D.! She took such great care of my husband and I and did it with a big smile on her face! Thank You Christel! YOU ROCK!!!
Our dining experience was poor the server did well as far as being polite and what is usual for a server to do. The food can only be explained in one word. It totally sucked. Daughters pork chops where still pink my steak was so overdone it was hard and my husbands chicken enchilada casserole had a small sliver of chicken and was mostly cheese.
