I worked for them 21 years, I enjoyed every moment of it.
Our waitress, Brittany was very attentive. The food was good, senior plate priced great & they now serve fried green tomatoes.
Ok...let me tell you The Bellini Story... Once upon a time, there were two COMPLETELY exhausted women and two stressed out young ladies who went seeking a nice quiet meal in Texas. Upon searching the Internet and looking at various menus, it was decided that The Black-Eyed Pea was our target place to eat and convalesce, after a busy weekend. In December 2015 when it was disclosed the chain was filing for Chapter 11, I assumed the Mesquite Black Eye Pea would be closing, but last month I learned that it was still open. Bankrupcy or not, the food is satisfying, well prepared and very economical, especially their Lunch Special. Service was excellent, the waitress attentive and very courteous. Love their dinner rolls and corn bread. Nice bar, too.
Poor poor service. We sat in the bar area at a table and our waitress was taking Togo orders like crazy and totally neglected us. First and last time back since they opened.
They have reopened again - who knew - but apparently all their staff is band new so service is a little slow.
Pay your employees! If you can open up the registers and take money then open them up again snd pay those employees.
Wish black-eyed peas would come back to Oklahoma City
