I had two occasions to work with Black Chapman. Once with Rick Lundblade after I was in a car accident and another time when applying for Disability when I worked with Marlene (it has been so long I am embarrassed to say I do not recall her last name). On both occasions everyone in the office was incredibly kind, very well prepared, and professional. I have recommended them to other people who also had positive outcomes from their cases.
I cannot give enough praise to Art Stevens. My son was hit by a drunk driver and badly injured. He was not going to be working again and needed his disability. I think SS was slowing responding because of my son's age, and my son became very despondent. Art did not let that deter him. When we had the hearing before the Federal judge, Art was very well prepared, and the hearing went very well. The judge found in our favor. He is our hero, and he will be yours too if you listen.
My lawyer was art stevens. He never respected me as a client. More worried about his air conditioner. When he called for phone interview, he kept yelling at his daughters. Instead of going into another room to talk to me privately. He told me to not go through with my hearing because he said I wouldn't win. When I took all my stuff into his office he took my case like I had one. Not my fault he didn't want to do his job or work for me.
