We had dinner there last week. The clam chowder indeed justified its award winning acclaim and the lamb chops were delicious. Both well prepared, generous portions and reasonably priced. The host, and our server (later learned he was short staffed that evening) was professional, attentive and very personable. Can highly recommend this retaurant.
Good: steak/ pork chop. Steak ( medium rare ), however, the fatty part is too rare/chewy and the edge is a little bit dry. Pork chop: a bit too sweet on mashed potato, but the pork chop staffing with cheese. It is special and tasty good.
My husband and I have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed ourselves. But after our experience last evening, we will not be returning nor recommending the Black Cat Bistro. The food was mediocre. The wild catch salmon and daily special Mahi were over cooked, dry and flavorless. The vegetarian Strozzapreti pasta also lacked flavor, and vegetables. 90% of the dish was pasta.
