Jack and team were great work work with. I had a backyard remodel project with a patio and outdoor shower space planned. We worked with multiple companies on plans and price, and ultimately chose Black Bear because of their consultative approach and alignment with our vision. Wonderful job by Blackbear Landscaping! Very professional and efficient.
Jack, John and the entire crew listened to our general idea. Then they shared their professional opinion which greatly enhanced our basic concept into a "dreams-come-true!" Our patio, fire pit and landscape fit perfectly into the landscape. Little did Jack' know that his suggestion in using some cobblestone made my heart happy because it was one of my Dad's favorite stones. This team does it right!
We had just moved to Maine and bought a relatively new home down in Kennebunk. The yard grass was weak and there had been very little done in the way of landscaping. After the first big rain storm we found that one of the reasons we did not have grass in large portions of the back yard was because of standing water. I hate to resort to negative reviews, but we are very frustrated working with Black Bear. Our landscaping project got off to a good start and our new sidewalk looks great, but some of our shrubs and trees were not planted properly (I know this from experience) and the irrigation that was set up was inadequate. We now have a large dead rhododendron and 1/3 dead white spruce and a system that provides inadequate water.
