If you read the other comments, you'll see that Bill is a skilled mechanic & kind person. HOWEVER, if you're planning to drop off your car, you should make an appointment. If you can't reach him by phone, stop by early in the week and ask what day he might be able to work on your car. Fridays seem very busy, so I wouldn't recommend bringing your car in then. I'll be honest when I say I am always scared going to new mechanics with my cars and by far Bill is one of the best. I was recommended here by a family friend and I will be ensuring to come here and work with Bill's schedule to get my car worked on. Please be patient and ensure to make an appointment, or stop by and ask when in the week or so he can look at your car. I don't care what bad reputation people give Paterson as an area, they are an amazing people at this shop here and I recommended it highly.
