Overall I would not recommend anyone to use them. You are told that you will have a team.This did not happen and my loved one was in hospice for over 3 months. So no nurse was consistent in his care. It is expensive. You are charged a daily fee. .Then additional fee when a nurse does a quick short visit. After my husband fell out of bed or the night he was in extreme pain. The BJC staff was very kind and helpful with caring for my mother in her final weeks. It's not an easy job they do, but they do it gracefully. Thanks to Cassandra the social worker, Anna the chaplain, Simone the home health aide, and our case nurse Sara, who communicated with me regularly to make handling my mother's care easier from out of state. These are good people.
I can’t say enough of how great all the staff was for my mom. I would like to express my gratitude on behalf of myself and my family for the wonderful care my mother received. My mom was on hospice starting on Sunday and passed 2 1/2 days later. Our initial visit for social work was performed by Kimberly . This has been 5 months coming. My husband was a BJC home care and hospice patient. The home care we received was amazing. Molly was an absolute angel. Kind compassionate, knowledgeable and so personable. Felt more like a friend. You have an absolute gem in Molly. Thank you to all the nurses that came in you are all amazing. Bonnie Smith was dcd from Missouri Baptist on Hospice on 3/15/24 . No hospice nurse came to see her until Tuesday the 25th. She passed away the next day. The nurse that came was wonderful. It is a shame that she was ignored until then.
