Excellent food If you like croissants and French pastries you have to try this place!
The food is lovely. Reminded me of my dining experiences in Paris. I enjoyed a traditional continental breakfast, which included, among other things, a wonderful butter croissant and fresh OJ, while my husband enjoyed a sandwich which came with a fresh salad. He said it was the best sandwich he had had in a long time. Perfect balance of ingredients and wonderful crusty bread. Definitely worth a visit.
My husband drives down to the Keys almost every week for work, but never gets to enjoy some of the hidden treasures here. Well this morning we found this gem for breakfast! Fantastic service! Great chef! And the locals come here! I think it speaks volumes when you see a bunch of locals who are familiar with the staff! We also had the owner put together a lovely array of pastries to take home with us! I think I will be sending him back with a list on his next trip down! The food was good, but the owner is rude. The 2 stars are for the food NOT the experience. When we arrived, the tables were not cleared. When we paid the check, he wrote in a 20% tip on my credit card slip...who does that?!? The service was good, but the last time I checked it was MY choice. I ordered to-go items and was charged handsomely for them, but when I opened the bag the following morning not all of the items were there. Amazing find in Islamorada... a refreshing break from all the fried shrimp stops on the island. Super fresh greens, fruits and meats in the crepes, delicious espresso and very friendly service. This will be included on all staycations from now on!!
