We spent our first night of a trip around the Olympic Peninsula in Port Townsend after getting a recommendation from a friend. Hotel and our room was quaint. Downtown is a block away. Numerous restaurants and a wine bar ( on the water) are a short walk away. The only negative (albeit a small one) to point out is the stairs to get to the 2nd and 3rd floors (no elevator).
We had an amazing stay at The Bishop Hotel! The beds were super comfortable and the suite was really spacious. The hotel has so much historic charm, which makes it feel really special. The lobby is beautifully decorated, warm and inviting, and sets the tone for the whole stay. The staff are all lovely, and special thanks to Ayla, who was incredibly accommodating and made sure everything was perfect for us. My husband and I stayed at the Bishop Hotel on our recent anniversary trip and man were we impressed! The room itself was clean, cute and spacious and my god the bed was the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on in my life. So comfy we took got the information from the wonderful people at the front desk! The hotel is right in downtown so you can walk to all of the shops and restaurants. Don't stay at this hotel. The hotel has a faulty security and alarm system that went off for hours the night of our stay when the power went out. We had to call someone to address the issue twice during the night as the hotel does not have anyone on-site. Additionally, the windows in our room did not have curtains. We got no sleep the night of our stay. Staff was unprofessional, unhelpful, and did not attempt to offer any reasonable compensation.
