Unfortunately, I've had to seek assistance from a number of psychiatrists over the past thirty-plus years. All were sought in areas of diagnosis, referrals, periodic monitoring, and medication management. When I say that Dr. Bishop is one of the very best that I've encountered, I speak from broad experience. He's easy to talk to, friendly, highly informed - and informative, and non-judgemental. I've seen him thru UCSD Health both in-person and video visits. I'm grateful to have found him.

The most helpful psychiatrist I have ever had. Very knowledgeable with a large variety of psychotropic medications including some newer medications. Always provides concise but powerful and profound supportive counseling. Leaves me hopeful and encouraged after every session. Has expertise in treatment and management of adult ADHD. One of the reasons I am trying to stay with UCSD Health for my care.

I saw Greg for a year and was disappointed.Dr Bishop is a cute older man, but he wasn't a good fit for me.He created an environment that made me feel like his smiles were patronizing and the whole time felt like he was thinking 'this guy is an idiot'. He is probably really good with older folks, but I think he would do poorly with bisexual and neurodivergent straight men, as he embodies the traditional type that is 'by the book'. Dr. Bishop is unfailingly kind. I was so overwhelmed with sadness that I might have taken my life if I hadn't found him. His brilliant ability to read between the lines is his second greatest talent in helping others. Never critical, always patient and understanding. He's intelligent and aware but doesn't let people know how intelligent he really is. Haven't seen him in 25 yrs but still keep him in my prayers. That says it all. For me, his presence on Earth confirmed God's existence and love for all creation.

He was my and my son's Psychiatrist in Ohio and I just loved him. He was knowledgeable and warm, willing to listen. Rare qualities in a doctor of any kind. I was devastated when he left Ohio.
