This is a nine story Seniors apartment building. There are both hands efficiency apartment, or a one bedroom apartment The rent is very reasonable, and there are rent subsidies available based on income. Everyone here, that I have met, has been very friendly and sociable. There are various activities within the building throughout the year. Bishop co-op is a great place to live. We are on the beautiful Detroit River and next to Bishop Park. Walk one block into town and there are businesses and dining. I've been here over 10 years and have never thought of moving. Besides that the members are very friendly.
Most people here do not respect the privacy of others - they feel entitled to pry and bark because they have nothing else to do with their remaining days. If they don't get their way they do everything to try and cause a scene, and call police . Its pathetic.
Run for the hills! Been here a short time and won't stay any longer than I have to. The people here feel free to WALK into your apartment anytime they want. They get into all your business, and tell you what you can and cannot do on a regular basis. The worst one is the so called "President" of the co-op. Most of which are NOT in the rule book. So disappointed here. My advice, look elsewhere!
