I’ve been chasing after Van’s amazing biscuits since he was slinging them from a table in the ferry building, and they remain transformative beautiful bites of genius. People who try them are instantly biscuit converts, drawn in by the creative flavors and comforted by a warm culinary hug. This place is “food made with love” at its absolute finest. Chicken Sandwich was perfect. The chicken was fried perfectly and the piece of chicken itself was massive. The biscuit for the sandwich was a perfect pairing and the ratio of biscuit to chicken was perfect. The other highlight was the cinnamon bun biscuit. Equal parts biscuit and pastry into a unique and perfect match
Yummy 😋 fried chicken sandwiches. Too bad you missed it; he is closing in one week (6/30/24). The city will be a sadder place without Van and we will be too!
A hidden gem in dog patch.. Was super excited to find this Southern comfort food biscuits.. it reminded me of my time in North Carolina I got the wild mushroom biscuit, Mexican hot chocolate biscuit and the lemon strawberry scone I'm sad that this place is closing by June 30 because they couldn't renew their lease.. Lucky that I was able to stop by before it closed.. We will miss you and thank you so much for your love for biscuits.
