I can't recommend the classes through Birth Roots enough. It has been a wonderful addition to our parenting journey and has helped immensely as first time parents. From the preparing classes to Buds, we have developed wonderful friendships and learned so much to help raise our baby.
Hubby and I signed up for the wrong class, ended up being a wonderful experience! Through the instructor-led discussions and exercises, my husband and I gained a whole new perspective on the birthing process. There were conversations we had, that we couldn't have possibly known to have, without this class. Books and podcasts can only do so much. It brought us closer as a couple. Jess in the Birth series class was amazing. So gentle, but extremely confident and knowledgable. She was able to take a very vulnerable topic and make everyone feel much more comfortable about the time around giving birth. For most this will be the first time seeing someone give birth, so having as much knowledge and repitition beforehand eased my wife and I's worries. I can't recommend this class enough.
I took the The 4-Week Birth Class, and enjoyed everything about the class! This class helped make me feel grounded in the idea of labor and birth, demystifying and de-pathologizing the process. I had done plenty of reading and talking with other parents before this class and still feel like it rounded out my knowledge and answered lots of questions. My husband loved it, too. We absolutely loved the four part birthing class we took at Birth Roots. Our teacher Jessica was extremely knowledgeable and communicative. The entire process answered so many concerns we had as first time parents, and we met a great group of people along the way! We highly recommend Birth Roots!
