Bought a new construction home in February from DR Horton. The builder and their management company, PMI Birdy Properties, completely refuse to enforce basic neighborhood aesthetics and CC&Rs, despite homeowners paying monthly HOA dues. Front yards and sidewalks are overrun with tall or spreading weeds, and trash cans permanently clutter the sidewalks. So far I am not loving my apartment. My AC has been broken for about a month now and I've put in a maintenance request for it 4 times already and out of those four times, maintenance has only showed up twice. I have severe asthma and my asthma can flare up if I'm in the heat too long. My most recent maintenance request was merged because apparently they were looking more into my ac situation and needs permission from the property owner to come out and fix it. No wonder this company has so many one-star reviews. I’m not even fully onboarded yet, and my experience with the Director of Business has already been disappointing. As a company that charges 10% of my monthly rent, I expect a higher level of professionalism, communication, and customer service. First impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one has not been positive.
Only putting a star because I can’t put 0. Be aware of this company. I did everything they asked and the home was in excellent conditions. Minor wear and tear. They just sent me the itemization for my 2950 deposit and they are giving me back 500. For according to them small scuffs on walls and doors, brand new ac filter I put in the same day I moved out, a cabinet that the drawer was already damaged when I moved in, trash in bins that I still paid for to have picked up, coordination and re evaluation fees by their own people... read more
I loved one of the homes they had for show so I scheduled a tour. They are even bending there rules for me so I can get an application in even though my old lease is still active.
