Here is an amazing brain injury recovery community resource that is not widely known about. After an accident, where I incurred a concussion, other than physical therapy, I could find no medical services for adult recovery from the continued affects of my concussion. My teenaged son has been seeing Hannah Embry at Birdsong a little over a year for social skills. The changes in him have been remarkable, from avoiding people whenever possible to having comfortable, typical interactions, even with strangers. Hannah and my son work together in her office, but as time has gone on he also has worked with the other SLPs there and occasionally interns from UO, just to get some practice interacting with different people.
