Ordered brisket and mac-n-cheese combo. The brisket was dry and tasted more like mom’s pot roast than bbq brisket. The mac-n-cheese was very soupy.
It was ok. Tasted like deli meat heated in a frying pan. I had the mini sliders, one brisket, one ham, and one turkey. Wasn’t blown away. I guess my enthusiasm from all the 5 star reviews had me desiring much more than what I got. We were visiting in the area. Probably would not return to Birds Nest when we visit again. Too many other options to try.
The food is always great. Unfortunately with newer staffing, the service was horrible. We were told it would be ready in 20 minutes when we called in the order. We arrived about thirty minutes after we ordered and still waited more than twenty minutes for our food. The girls at the front counter "forgot" we were sitting there waiting for our food. Birds Nest is our go-to BBQ place! They have excellent food. We love the pulled pork and the brisket. Our son loves their giant hot dogs and pit ham sandwiches. The fries are so good, and their wings are , in our opinion, the best in our area.

I have ordered from there quite a few times, and it was phenomenal. I got the turkey platter a few weeks ago and there was so much it fed my gf and I to share. The people there are also very friendly and sociable.
