Tomorrow the Bird Cage is definitely gonna be a biker bar - but I mean the pedaling kind! It's a great place to hang out after the 2015 Skull Valley Loop Challenge.
Even though the original building has burnt down (RIP) this world famous venue is still an Arizona institution . Much like a stop at the Grand Canyon , your Arizona experience is not complete until you have stopped in on a hot summer Saturday night .
Keep your mind open. Very low $ and the owner DEB treated us very well..
Don't go on Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday, the bartender is a real jerk. There motto is be nice or leave. I think he has to leave because he's not nice. After he was not nice to me he was cutting on Lori McDonald that's not cool. She is a great performer. I will have to go on another morning. They make a great Bloody Mary!
The Birdcage like the legendary Phoenix has arisen from the flames that had consumed her. This bar is not a place or a destination but a living breathing entity comprised of the pulsating heart of the musicians..bar personnel..owners and clientele who frequently stop to play.
Day bartenders...awesome! Night.....rude, slow, ignored several customers!
